For Sale: Gerber

The Steadfast is a long time running offering from Gerber. It is meant as an all purpose tactical, hunting, edc tool. 6″ blade, stainless beadblasted blade, sheath and softgrip for full control during all kinds of conditions, dry, wet, blood, mud….It serves the purpose very well. Easy to sharpen when you are out in the field.

This one has never seen any use or carry. It has some markings from laying around and handling. The box is available, but the glue didn’t hold up.
I think the Steadfast is discontinued but there is still old stock available with some USA based dealers.

I am asking € 45,-. Originally it was over 85,- in Europe. So a reasonable price I think.

SOLD: Todd Begg Knives Steelcraft Bodega Damasteel

Todd Begg Steelcraft Bodega with Damasteel blade

I don’t think these are available anymore. Never carried, never used and never sharpened. Got it directly from Mark Begg (the brother of…). Funny story, he reserved one for me and would bring it to Bladeshow 2018. And then he forgot it. But I was there for a couple of days before flying back to The Netherlands…so his wife took the car and had to drive many hours to the show to bring it….

Great action well centered. Original packaging. MSRP was $777,-.
I am asking SOLD.

There is also a Field Marshall available….let me know if you are interested.

Medford Infraction

I am not a great fan of Medford knives. Sure they have a very nice recognisable signature, they are very well build & good quality, but for my personal taste too thick blades and too big & heavy in general. If you are looking for an indestructable knife, Medford should be one to explore.

But today I got a very nice offer of one of our respected club members (Bladestock Brothers). Just prior to the meeting he called me by phone and told me he had his eye on a special knife. So he had to free some funds. Hence he offered me his Medford Infraction for a good price.

The Infraction i not so big & heavy (still 165gr.) as most Medfords I am aware off. It is more friendly sized to my taste. And the blade is not that ridiculously thick (still 4.8mm), has a gorgious two tone finish and a superb hollow grind with a blade of S35VN. And Medford ships his knives in very nice, decent packages.

Increasing knife restrictions in Europe

Since a couple of years, in general, knife laws are gtting more restrictive within the European Union. This is very threatening and annoying for people like you and me, loving & living their passion for (collecting and using) knives. And a lot of jobs are at stake. So now is the time to unite both industry & community. Just take a look at for more info about the initiative of a group of worried people (both from knifeindustry and community) to found a Association to defend our rights and start a lobby and educating.

If we do not take action, it is a matter of time before men’s first tool gets banned.

Tamahagane Knives – Zubeng Forge

Tamahagane Utility Knife by Zubeng Forge (Master Rich Chen) ….

Recently I had the opportunity to buy 5 of these awesome little fixed blades. My friend Sam, of defcon-usa, always brings, besides his Proelia and Defcon regular models, something special to shows where he exhibits.

The knives are handforged with hamon from tamahagane steel, which is made by an old Japanse blacksmithing process. by Master Chen.

Within a couple of hours I could have sold all within our knifegroup. I kept 2 for myself; one with kydex sheet and one with leather sheet. Awesome little edc or kitchen knives. When you have an opportunity, grab one. Only limited available.

Recently Master Chen changed the logo used on his work. Hence the 2 different logo’s on both.

See also the dedicated Tahamagane page where you get a good explanation and where you might be able to buy a knife made by Master Chen if available…
